| Mrs. Lynch teaches fourth, fifth and sixth class, Mrs. Gath teaches second and third class and Miss Mahon teaches the infants and first class. Miss Costello, gives extra help with reading and Maths. Mrs. Gath had a baby boy and Miss Currams is teaching second and third class while she is out. Mrs. Gath's baby is called Shane. We hope she will bring him in to see us soon. | |
Our Christmas Pageant was held in Saint Brigid's Hall, Mount Bolus on Thursday 15th of December at 7.30pm. Everyone had a great time.

| Tractor
Run |
|
On Sunday 26th June last, the local Vintage Club had a Tractor Run to raise funds for the three schools in this end of the parish. They raised one thousand, four hundred and thirty seven euro for each school. Thanks to Tom Doolan, the Vintage Club and all the sponsors . |

Second to sixth class went to Dublin in May. We visited the Memorial Gardens in Inchicore, then we went to the Science Gallery in Trinity College. The trip to the Science Gallery was already paid for by Atlantic Corridor / Erias part of our prize for our winning science project. Our third stop was the Croke Park Stadium & GAA Museum. It rained a bit, but we had a great day.
The Infants and First Class went to Lough Boora Parklands. They found a map & had a Treasure Hunt. They found the Treasure in the Maze after following all the clues and they brought it back to the school.

Confirmation took place on Thursday 24th March in Kilcormac. It was a beautiful day.

| Communion

|
| Ten children from the school made their First Holy Communion in St. Brigid's Church Mountbolus on 7th May 2011. This year, Communion will be on 12th May.

| Fundraising
for Bóthar |
|
| Bóthar
is an Irish charity organisation that sends animals to poor families
in Africa. On the first week of Lent every year we start selling
tickets to raise money to send a goat to a family in Tanzania. After sponsoring the goat, we had enough money to sponsor a child's education in the Molo project in Kenya. For one hundred and forty euro, we could send him / her to secondary school for one year. During the year we usually get a couple of letters from this child telling us how they are getting on. This year we raised five hundred and thirty five euro. |

Carol Service |

| All the children took part in a Carol Service in Saint Brigid's Church, Mountbolus on Wednesday 15th December. It was held in the evening so that all our families could come.

Science Project All classes in the school took part in a Science project run by Atlantic Corridor. You can see each room's project on their own page. The school won first place in the senior category.
